About pneumatics

Hi friends,
It is the branch which deals with the application of air as working medium and its properties.
About pneumatics:

• It deals with the application of air for driving and controlling of machine tools in industry.
• Basic to all pneumatic equipment and techniques of its application is the utilization of the gaseous fluid compressed to a pressure, which is higher than the atmospheric pressure.
• With the application of this, it is possible to achieve “low cost automation”. Thank you.

Transducer

Hi friends,
Transducer is a device which, when actuated transforms energy from one form to another. The input quantity for most of the instrumentation systems is “non-electrical quantity”. The non-electrical quantity is generally converted into an electrical form by using transducer. The broad definition of transducer includes, for example, devices which convert mechanical force into electrical signal. Many other physical parameters such as; heat, intensity of light, flow rate liquid level and humidity may also converted into electrical form by means of transducers.
Most of the times it is preferable to use electrical transducers. Since
• Electrical amplification and attenuation can be done easily.
• The mass-inertia effects are minimized.
• The effects of friction are minimized.
• The electrical or electronic systems can be controlled with a small power level. Thank you.

Indian football reaches new heights

It was a game where India dominated and looked dangerous with every move. The slushy ground conditions didn’t help the Turkmenistan cause as it looked like they weren’t ready for it.

The fourth minute saw the first good move when Turkmenistan’s number 11 Dovlotmurad Atayev’s cross was put over the bar by striker Berdy.

Four minutes later, Chhetri’s header into the box was struck by N.P.Pradeep straight into the goalkeeper’s hands.Bhaichung did a quick one-two with Chhetri and was in a one-on-one position when goalkeeper Maksatmyrat came out to prevent the danger.Left winger Krendelev who had a quiet outing suddenly burst into action and sent in a ball which landed for Mekan whose final shot lacked power.

Dovlutmurad’s cross to Krendelev was saved by Subrata Paul two minutes later.India’s best move came in the 30th minute when Renedy Singh’s cross was headed by skipper Bhaichung Bhutia only to be saved by Maksatmyrat. Climax Lawrence hit the rebound and the Turkmenistan custodian made another save.

Seven minutes from half time, Renedy Singh was again in the thick of action when his cross to Pradeep was saved by an alert Maksatmyrat.India started the second half as strongly as the first and were rewarded for the same within the first ten minutes.

Renedy Singh’s cross was headed by the Turkmenistan defender and Chhetri winning the second ball passed to Bhaichung whose final left footer couldn’t be stopped by goalkeeper Maksatmyrat as he slipped to see the ball roll into his net.Coach Bob Houghton decided to rest Steven Dias and give Krishnan Ajayan a run for the final 15 minutes.India and Bhaichung got their second of the evening as the latter headed a Renedy Singh flagkick into the net to leave the Turks stranded in disbelief. The visitors pulled one back in the 85th minute through substitute Yusup Orazhmamedov. Saporov crossed to Chonkayev, who headed the ball into the path of Yusup, who scored. After the goal, India held on to the ball, and saw the ninety minutes out.

Tolerance

Hi friends,
Welcome to my blog once again. Tolerance on a basic size is obtained based on its performance. To achive the required tolerance, the manufacturing process which is capable of accomplishing the specified tolerance economically has to be selected. The various manufacturing processes ranfing from fine gauge manufacture to the corse manufacturing process. Tolerance that could be accomplished in each of the grades. Thank you.

Cone keys

Hi friends,
Welcome to my blog once again. cone keys are used when pulleys having holes larger than the shaft are to mounted on them. A cone key consists of three segments of a hollow conical bush. Thje hub of the pulley will have a tapered bore to suit that of the cone key. These segments of the cone key are driven between shaft and the hub so as to hold them from slipping by the friction gap. Thank you.

Flat saddle key

Hi folks,
How are you? A flat saddle key is similar to a hollow saddle key, except that its underneath surface is flat. The key sits over the flat surface formed on the shaft and fits in to the key way I nt he hub. When the shaft rotates, the key will be wedged between the flat surface on the shaft and the key way in the hub, and thus holds them to rotate together. This key cannot be used for heavy loads and will not be suitable for shafts which frequently change their direction of rotation. Thank you.

Hollow saddle key

Hi folks,
How are you? A hollow saddle key is uniform width but tapering in thickness having its upper side flat and underside hollow so as sit on a shaft. Since the saddle key holds the shaft and the part mounted un it only by friction, it is not suitable for heavy loads. This key is used when there is frequent alternations in the posistion of the key on the shaft is excepted. Thank you.
