Radio activity in power plant

Welcome to my blog once again. The elements of highest atomic weight, such as throium, radium and uranium consists of unstable isotopes. These elements undergo spontaneous change into isotopes of other elements. This is referred as radio active change. During this process, high velocity particles are emitted. These emissions include alpha particles are emitted, beta particles or gamma particles. After many stages of disintegration, an atomic specie with a stable nucleus is formed. This emission of radio active waves (alpha, beta, and gamma rays) by an unstable element as described above is called radio activity of element of radiation. Thank you.
