Powerboats are fitted with high-powered inboard or outboard engines and are used to race over courses. Offshore powerboats race an ocean courses up to 160 miles (257km) long, and reach speeds of over 100m.p.h (160k.p.h). The driver steers using satellite navigation system, while the throttle operator controls the trim and engine speed. Thank you.
