Having successfully defended their Premier League crown last season, Manchester United are looking to repeat the feat in 2009-10 - and highly rated defender Nemanja Vidic is backing some of the young talent at Old Trafford to help the club achieve its aim.
United have won four of their five pre-season games so far, with young players such as Craig Cathcart and Jonny Evans all impressing.
Now Vidic, 26, believes the latest crop of United youngsters can make a lasting impression in the Premier League.
“The young players have done very well. I played with Craig for the first time on Saturday against Kaizer Chiefs and I thought he produced a good performance, as did Jonny,” Vidic was quoted as saying in The Sun.
"It's been a great experience for them and they should be proud of how they've performed during the trip. They have a great future ahead of them."
