Professional rodeo developed from the early days of ranching, when bull riding and calf roping were common activities. The first known rodeo with prize money was held at deer trail, Colorado, in 1869. The all- round cowboy world champion is decided each year- the champion is the cowboy who wins the most money over a series of events. Top cowboys win more than $250,000 a year. Thank you.
