  WHEN ARR SLEEPS
"It seems like , even when ARR sleeps, you can notice at times, his foot doing some tappings of some rhythms. Raihana used to feel that he is not sleeping, but in fact that
happens when he is actually sleeping".

When ARR was 10 years old, he was used to wearing half pants and shirts. At that time, there was a Pir who visited him and advised him not to dress showing his legs. Right from that moment, ARR stopped wearing half pants, and till date has taken proper care to ensure that he is dressed properly all the time. ARR took the advise of the Pir in the right spirit, and even at that tender age didn;t reply back asking why ??.


" Wherever ARR goes around the world, he always takes Indian Food. He likes Rasam Rice, Curd Rice and always longs for eating those food items. In fact he goes into some interior room and consumes food ".

" The song Ponmagal Vandhal from ATM has become very popular for two reasons. One it is being liked by everybody and many have kept the song as their ringtones, and many critics are now pouncing on ARR for this remix ( though he didnt do the remix ) "

" ARR 's Progress Report always used to feature " Good & Very quiet Boy " in the conduct Portion. And whenever he used to miss some homework, the teacher used to punish him by asking him to sit near girls, for which he would feel so bad, and come home very dissappointed

Whenever ARR travels abroad for concerts, he never puts his accordion or some of his instruments into the Main Baggage center. He carries them along with his hand baggage, and practises wherever he find it suitable to. Though carrying them would be highly painful all the time, he doesn;t mind that , and enjoys carrying them through.

A.R.Rahman now holds the record for the maximum number of Filmfare Awards.

"Right from his young age, ARR used to do soldering and displayed his interest in electronics. His aspiration was to become an Electronics Engineer, but destiny had something else in store for him "

ARR always follows this policy of taking criticisms easy. In fact this is highly admired , when we hear the song ( urvasi urvasi. Take it easy urvasi from Kaadhalan sung by ARR himself )

It seems lik, when ARR records hamornies, he gives the pieces two hours in advance to the singers, ask them to practice well, with what all feelings they get. And then he patiently goes for the take. HIS Patience while recording makes every singer feel his/ her responsibility.

The song " Motti Vidatha " in Pavithra was actually supposed to figure in Roja. It seems Maniratnam was also involved in that song. But then later, it was composed and placed in Pavithra .
